Each month during the regularly scheduled meeting, the Cumberland School Board recognizes the Students of the Month for each school. The following students were recognized by School Board members on Thursday, September 5, 2024:
· Cali Copeland, fourth grader at Cumberland Elementary School, daughter of LaQuan and Cassondra Copeland of Cumberland.
· Christian Recktenwald, eighth grader at Cumberland Middle School, son of Robert and Christina Recktenwald of Farmville.
· Alana Johnson, tenth grader at Cumberland High School, daughter of Amanda Doss and Marcus Johnson of Cumberland, and the granddaughter of Gail Doss.
