Cumberland School Board Recognizes CHS Art Contest Winners Featured

Each year, the Cumberland Woman’s Club sponsors an Art Contest. The winners from this year’s contest were recognized by the members of the Cumberland School Board at their April meeting. Winners included the following: Cumberland High School: Watercolor: Rose Giles (1st place), Kayla Brown (2nd place), Gracie Talbert (3rd place). Acrylic Painting: Shakiera Branch (1st place), Logan Morris (2nd place), and Chase Grubbs (3rd place). Tempera Painting: Tiera Butler (1st place), Hannah Swain (2nd place), and Jay Bolden (3rd place). Pen & Ink: Carly Thompson (1st place), Tiera Butler (2nd place), Alonna McNutt (3rd place). Chalk Pastel: Destiny Smith (1st place), Jacey Burley (2nd place), and Carly Thompson (3rd place). Pencil Drawing: Rose Giles (1st place), Zoe Leonard (2nd place), and Val Petrechkiv (3rd place). Oil Pastels: Jamie Jones (1st place), Tayziana Booker (2nd place), and Shakiera Branch (3rd place) Markers: Rose Giles (1st place), Lindsey Spillman (2nd place), and Rose Giles (3rd place).
